Frequently Asked Questions

@ What is Twin Vice?

Twin Vice is a mystery-fanfic taking place five years after the events of Deathly Hallows. Fred Weasley has returned to the world of the living as a ghost, but for what purpose remains a mystery, even unto himself. When the twins purchase an old townhouse in London, Fred finds himself stuck under the thumb of an ancient curse; one that throws he, George and their newly employed Muggle detective, Nox, onto a trail that reveals a mystery stretching deep into the vaults of the Hogwarts Founders' history.

@ What's this Site all about?

Honestly, it's really for myself, my co-writer and anyone else who enjoys my fic or has a love for the Weasley twins. It's really just a selfish thing for myself. I like making sites about my stories and the research I do for them. Plus it means I can have all my things relating to Twin Vice (stories, fanart and gift art, trailers etc.) in the one place.

@ Who is this Nox? Is she a canon character?
LOL! I wish! I've had this question more times than I care to count. Nox is my OC- *ducks rotten fruit* But she's no Mary-Sue! Not as far as I'm concerned, anyway. Put it this way, I wouldn't enjoy writing her if she was. She's by no means a perfectly constructed character, but I am fond of her. I did want to write a Fred Wealsey romance, but no one in canon came to mind (HermionexFred and AngelinaxFred drive me up the wall), so OC was my only option. People are really very hard on OCs, but when you think about it, all flipping characters start out the same. And if you want to take your writing seriously, sooner or later you are going to have to construct your own characters. It's difficult work. You have to work on them, fall out with them, rip them up and piece them back together. Character development kind of takes on its own life, too. Some of Nox's personality traits have come totally out of the blue, haha.

Her traits/physical appearance include: ganglyness, of the mind and body, curiosity that borders on downright nosyness (it comes with the job), and downright unflappable stubborness, which you need when working with Weasley twins.

@ Will Fred and Nox ever get it together?:

That's for you to read and find out! But I will say this - Fred is a ghost. Nox is a Muggle and therefore can never become a ghost after death. They can't have a family, they can't be together forever, not even in death. It's a pretty nasty set-up.

@ Okay, seriously, WHO THE F**K is Caithion? You've stated he's a canon character. Which one?!

I LOVE that so many people haven't figured this one out yet. So I'm not going to tell. Although I've already given it away several times... XD The real question should perhaps be, what is his real game? Is he a villain or not?

@ Where do you get all your folktales from?

I collect fairytales and folklore from all over the world. It's kind of my hobby (plus I study Anthropology and Medieval History).

@ I'm a writer too. Any tips for me?

Read as often as possible - everything and anything - and go out and have adventures of your own! Experience is one of the greatest forms of inspiration (so long as you don't break your neck on said adventures...).
